DO'S & DON'TS FOR PREGNANT PATIENTS
The following is a list of general approved and disapproved activities for our pregnant patients. If you have any questions or concerns please ask your practitioner!
Do…
…have legs and upper lip waxed.
…use self tanning products.
…hi-light, color and perm hair as necessary.
…take a tub bath as long as the water is luke-warm and not hot.
…exercise as long as you are not contracting, spotting or have a history of pre-term labor or miscarriage.
…keep your heart rate under 140 for aerobic exercise.
…go to the dental office for dental procedures. Please make sure your dental office knows you are pregnant especially prior to x-rays.
…have intercourse as long as you are not spotting or having contractions.
…have a TB test.
…horseback ride and ski up to your 28th week of pregnancy as long as you have not had any complications, are not spotting, and do not have a history of pre-term labor.
…get a massage as long as it is pregnancy massage.
Don’t…
…tan in a tanning bed.
…use a hot tub.
…travel after 32 weeks (single pregnancy). Please advise your practitioner.
…travel after 28 weeks (multiple pregnancy). Please advise your practitioner. …use diuretics.
…bleach your teeth. Feel free to use whitening toothpaste instead.
…ride a motorcycle.
…change your kitty litter.
