	OUR DOCTORS
			Dr. Sophia Paige, a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and her medical training from The Ohio State University. Dr. Paige finished her residency program at the University of California at Los Angeles. After being recruited by the Nalle Clinic, Dr. Paige moved to the Charlotte area in July of 1996. She worked for the Nalle Clinic until December of 1998 when she decided to start a more private, personal practice-Arboretum Obstetrics and Gynecology.

			Dr. Mala Freeman-Kwaku, a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing her undergraduate degree and her medical training from the University of Virginia, she finished her residency at Georgetown University. Dr. Freeman-Kwaku was recruited by Arboretum Obstetrics and Gynecology after completing her residency program and has served as a staff physician since August 2002. In addition, Dr. Freeman-Kwaku has incorporated bariatric medicine into her practice assisting women with a holistic approach to weight loss.

			Dr. Octavia Cannon, a board certified obstetrician / gynecologist is a native of East Lansing, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree with honors from Johnson C. Smith University here in Charlotte, N.C. She completed her medical training at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami, FL. Dr. Cannon returned to Michigan to complete her residency training at St. John/Detroit Riverview Hospital and Hutzel Hospital. Dr. Cannon decided to return to Charlotte in 1999 after completing her residency. She served as the Director of Women's Health at Gaston County Health Department for 6 years. She now looks forward to serving patients in the private sector as a physician and health educator. Back to top
